The Evocati Team Celebrates National Pet Day

We're proud to be a dog-people-owned PR firm! In honor of National Pet Day, we want to take a moment to recognize the furry family of our team!

Cheryl, our Senior Communications Consultant, has one pup named Rusty, an Australian Cattle Dog Chow Chow Pug. Cheryl and her daughter named Rusty after Cheryl's late father and late husband. Rusty just turned 3, is the goodest boy, and is a COVID-19 pandemic rescue puppy. However, who really saved who?

Our PR Apprentice, Dylan, has two German shepherds—Rocco and Shadow. Rocco is almost three and spends his time showing Shadow, an eight-month-old puppy, the ropes of being the goodest boy. Rocco was rescued from an orchard and is the perfect mix of friendly and protective! Shadow was found with his two sisters in a dumpster before being brought to the Humane Society and rescued by Dylan. He is as happy-go-lucky as they come and eats anything he can get his paws on!

And finally, Laura, our Senior Creative Director, has three dogs—Sydney, Goose, and Brewster. Brewster is a 4-month-old Pit Bull. He and Goose are inseparable. Laura rescued Goose (Cattle dog/Pit mix) off the side of a lonely highway in Montana on the Blackfoot reservation on her way to Glacier NP when he was only 2 months old. He was scared and alone, but since rescuing him has become the most loyal and loving dog she knows! Sydney (Chow Chow/Pyrenees mix) will be 14 this summer! She was also a rescue. She's been her best friend, travel companion, and adventure buddy since the day she was adopted. Her days of hiking Fourteeners are over, so now she loves to just nap and get cuddles!

As a purpose-driven PR agency that specializes in helping clients authentically engage with underserved, underrepresented, and marginalized audiences—we understand how important pets are to people’s lives and mental health! Our team loves celebrating National Pet Day because it allows us to reflect on how lucky we are to have man's best friends by our side. Happy National Pet Day everyone!
