2021 Internship Opportunity
Evocati is seeking a 2021 Marketing and Communication Intern. This person will be primarily responsible for managing the company’s marketing, communications, and research activities to support its clients and the military-connected community. The intern will gain valuable insight into working with a leading marketing firm that supports clients who want to make a positive impact in the military-connected community.

Overview
Evocati’s Marketing and Communication Intern is primarily responsible for managing the company’s marketing, communications, and research activities to support its clients and the military-connected community. The intern will gain valuable insight into working with a leading marketing firm that supports clients who want to make a positive impact in the military-connected community.
The intern will be featured on the company’s website and play a supporting role advising clients, consultants, and the company on marketing strategies and products. Some graphic design is expected while the internship is fully virtual. No travel is expected or authorized. The intern will also be expected to participate in weekly team meetings and mentoring sessions with Evocati’s president & founder.
Qualifications
This opportunity is open to any currently enrolled post-secondary student seeking a related degree in marketing, corporate communication, public relations, etc.
Work Hours: Up to 30 hours per week
Timeframe: September - December 2021
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship opportunity. This opportunity may be used towards course credit.
Responsibilities
On a daily basis the intern will research prospective clients to engage, manage Evocati’s content and editorial calendar, manage the Evocati LinkedIn page including:
Monitoring for follower engagement and issues
Identifying opportunities to increase engagement and interact with relevant audiences
Drafting content and digital assets
The intern will participate in weekly company meetings, client and partner meetings, as needed and support incoming client and company projects, as needed. On a weekly basis the intern will research and recommend prospective clients for outreach, draft and publish content for Squared Away, Evocati’s blog, including original content and company announcements. On a monthly basis the intern will research and update company leadership and consultants on industry trends including:
Important or newsworthy events in the military-connected community
Changes or trends in marketing and communications best practices
Any areas the intern has identified as important or vital to support the development and growth of the company
On a monthly basis the intern will also measure, report, and analyze the results of client marketing initiatives to gauge success; measure and report marketing performance on the company LinkedIn page and website and recommend strategies for improvement; implement SEO strategies to the company website to improve search performance. Finally, the intern will conduct research to identify media outreach opportunities to support company clients and consultants.
