Let's start with the potato industry, a massive sector of our economy. For more than a year we've proudly provided the National Potato Council (NPC) PR With a Purpose. NPC represents thousands of growers across the country by "Standing Up for Potatoes" on Capitol Hill. Their work is crucial in ensuring that potato growers continue to thrive.
As showcased in NPC's "Spud Nation" Economic Impact Report, the potato industry creates over 714,000 domestic jobs across the potato supply chain. Additionally, the potato industry generates over $100 billion for the U.S. economy.

Veterans in Agriculture

The 2017 Census of Agriculture was the first to include information on producers' military service. The findings are important.
Eleven percent of U.S. growers had served or were currently serving, in our Armed Forces. Veterans are a huge contributor to our agriculture industry. Veteran growers oversee more than 129 million acres of American soil and utilize this land to the tune of $41B in produce sales. In turn, the agriculture industry is huge for our veterans with more than 370,000 Armed Forces members involved in the industry.
Veterans in agriculture is an extremely beneficial and patriotic partnership that helps our service members, growers, and economy thrive.
