Washington, D.C. - Evocati joined a coalition of more than 70 organizations in a meeting with senior White House personnel yesterday to discuss fulfilling America’s commitment to our Afghan allies and responding to moral injury within the military-connected community.

In a joint statement after the meeting, the Coalition to Evacuate our Allies stated, “… we believe in America’s ability to meet those objectives, as the White House has committed to engaging our Coalition so that our community can effectively support the safe and appropriate evacuation and settlement of our Afghan allies. The White House made clear that they understand that the support networks our organizations have created are a critical component of this mission.”

The White House described the meeting as a “somber and serious discussion” about the evacuation effort, resettlement efforts, access to mental health services, and more. The White House stated it was “committed to continued engagement and partnership” with the military, veteran, and family organization in attendance.

The meeting took place nearly a day after a deadly attack in Kabul, Afghanistan targeting Afghans and the U.S. Armed Forces. “The U.S. service members and Afghan allies who died or were injured by this horrific attack represent the best of who we are as a People — united in the common purpose to protect those who wish to live life free from fear and persecution,” said Barrett Y. Bogue, president and founder at Evocati.

The Coalition, including Evocati and its clients, remain committed to supporting the evacuation of our Afghan allies, the brave service women and men in harm’s way, and America’s military-connected community.
