How Evocati and its Partners are Honoring Veterans Day 2020

Washington, D.C. - Today Americans across the country will celebrate Veterans Day differently than we have in the past, though with the same gratitude for the women and men who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The state of the pandemic and protective measures in the public space means a subdued celebration. At Evocati, we have worked with our clients and partners to ensure that despite the pandemic they are fully capable of honoring those who served while growing their investment inside the military-connected community.

“Today is more than just waving the American flag and thanking us for our service. It’s a day filled with optimism and potential,” said Mr. Barrett Y. Bogue, president and founder of Evocati and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. “Whether we’re in college, business, or public service, Veterans Day is an opportunity to showcase the shared sacrifice of our sisters and brothers in arms and our continued impact in wherever we decide to lead next.”

Here’s what some of our partners and clients are doing to celebrate Veterans Day 2020.

Aliro will host a webinar on November 19, 2020, featuring a panel discussion and interactive dialogue with transitioned veterans turned industry leaders, advocates for the military-connected community, and HR experts to discuss the value hiring from the military-connected community. How to Integrate Veterans Into the Workforce: A Dialogue with Veterans & Industry Experts is open to the public and will feature keynote remarks from Congressman Jack Bergman (R-MI). Attendees will gain insight into proven approaches to hiring veterans, and resources available for veterans who are ready to transition into the workforce.

Veterans Education Success celebrated in a special digital feature honoring veterans who had a positive impact on their team members. Team members were asked to identify one veteran who made a lasting impact and share how. The inspiring stories that followed demonstrate the significant role veterans have in the wellbeing of all Americans.

Zoom Video Communications, Inc. will host their first Zoom Talk about veterans and the military-connected community for employees across the globe on November 19, 2020. The panel will feature Zoom employees who are U.S. military veterans and Mr. Bogue. It will serve as an introduction to Zoom’s Veterans Employee Resource Group. The panel will serve as an opportunity to educate employees on the misperceptions about America’s military's veterans and feature an in-depth discussion about how veterans are not so different from everyone else.
