Honoring Vietnam Veterans on this National Vietnam War Veterans Day

"I served my country. I’ve seen veterans, and some of them are doing well and some of them are really struggling. I see it here in Detroit and other places where I’ve gone." - Vietnam War Veteran Pascal Koyton

Every year, on March 29th, our nation takes time to remember and honor those who served in the Vietnam War. It is a day for us to reflect on the sacrifices that were made for our #freedom. We must also take time to thank all of those who served during this conflict and recognize their service and courage.

During this time, over 2.6 million #ServiceMembers fought and more than 58,000 gave the ultimate sacrifice. It was a war that affected every aspect of life both at home and abroad.

Back in 2021, in an effort with our #client, Soldiers' Angels, we interviewed Vietnam War Veteran and Soldiers' Angels volunteer, Pascal Koyton. Koyton reflected on his time in Vietnam and with Soldiers' Angels during the interview. View the full interview here.

"I interacted with a lot of people coming in from the bush," Pascal said, "I would try to be sympathetic and try to help them as much as I could because they were hurting or wounded. I thought it was very rewarding in my sense."

Today, let's take time out of our lives to remember the brave heroes who fought for our freedom in #Vietnam. Let us give thanks for their service and sacrifice. Let us never forget what these brave men and women did for us so that we can live in a better world today—and always strive towards creating a brighter tomorrow.

To Pascal and others who served, thank you for your service and your sacrifices.
