How You Can Honor Our Nation’s Heroes on Veterans Day 2021

A Unique Opportunity for 2021

Did you know some veterans at VA Medical Centers have gone more than a year without critical human interaction from family members and in-person visits? Soldiers' Angels' goal this #VeteransDay2021 is to support every VA Medical Center seeking volunteer support for their Veterans Day celebrations. We are excited to announce a unique corporate volunteer and sponsorship opportunity called Home of the Brave that works directly with the VA Center for Development and Civic Engagement and corporate partners to provide employees and employers the opportunity to show their gratitude for veterans on or around #VeteransDay2021.

Home of the Brave comes after more than a year of isolation due to COVID-19 restrictions—veterans living in or staying at VA medical centers need our support and gratitude now, more than ever! Over the past 10 years, over 5,000 corporate volunteers have invested nearly 40,000 hours honoring and showing their gratitude to those who sacrificed for our nation.

Campaign Impact

Since 2012, Soldiers’ Angels Home of the Brave has supported and honored 189,606 veterans at VA medical centers across the country. During those 10 years, 5,351 corporate volunteers have invested 37,169 hours in honoring and showing their gratitude to those who sacrificed for our nation. The events totaled over $1,190,000 in donations to supported VA’s.

How it Works

VA hospital centers around the country will register for the campaign and identify the type of celebration they are planning, typically held between November 1-15. Corporate Partners contribute to the cost of the celebrations with a partnership fee and provide the volunteer base from among their employee population, including a dedicated Site Coordinator for each participating VA medical center.
