Barrett emphasized working on, and not just in, your organization. Find ways to grow the business and make your business work for you. If you are not streamlining business practices, you are never really growing. Giving yourself permission to fail and time for the business to work also stands out. Sometimes, things just don't work out, and that's OK! Give yourself a timetable, and if you are not happy with where you are, move on to a new adventure.
