What I Gained—Reflecting on My Time with Evocati by Stacey Taylor

Stacey Taylor was a Senior Graphic Design Consultant at Evocati who transitioned to an exciting full time employment opportunity. In this post, she reflects on her journey with Evocati supporting our clients.

Like many others, you were impacted by the pandemic and had to work from home. In fact, you never met the team in person! What was working remotely like for you? How did you enjoy working with a remote team?

Working remotely allowed me to continue working in a field I love through all the obstacles we faced during the pandemic. Even though I never met the team in person, I still always felt connected.

Given your extensive professional experience creating beautiful graphic designs for the military-connected community, what should professionals know about creating content for this unique audience? What should they avoid?

I have not only spent a great amount of time in my career creating for the military-connected community, but I am part of that community. My husband is an active-duty Marine and we are a military family. Understanding this audience, what is important to them and what challenges they face is key in communicating with them effectively.

Evocati is a wonderful company, with the most talented and genuinely caring people. I can honestly say Evocati’s values encompass what is important to me and it is rare to find that in a company.

What’s one special thing about our client, Soldiers’ Angels, that you wish more people knew about and why?

There are so many special things I’d like people to know about Soldiers’ Angels. One of the things that stands out the most to me about Soldiers’ Angels is just the pure love and dedication that the staff and volunteers have for this amazing organization. The Soldiers’ Angels team not only shows up each day, but they show up with the type of energy and enthusiasm that can move mountains. They are so passionate about what they do and who they’re helping. I have never seen anything like it! I will absolutely miss being part of such an awesome organization! I definitely plan to connect as a volunteer in the future.

Is there a particular client design or program that you enjoyed working on? If so, please describe what it was and why.

I really enjoyed working on the Adopt-A-Family program, the branding for it, and all the various assets we created. Although I enjoyed each and every one of the projects and programs we supported with Soldiers’ Angels, the Adopt-A-Family program really touches my heart. Soldiers’ Angels supports the military-connected community in numerous ways but supporting families during the holidays and giving children a memorable Christmas is truly special.

What was your favorite part of working with Evocati?

What I loved most about working at Evocati is not only the wonderful team but the positivity and support by everyone. Working at Evocati and supporting Soldiers’ Angels has honestly been one of the most rewarding times of my career.

What would you like people to know about working at Evocati?

Evocati is a wonderful company, with the most talented and genuinely caring people. I can honestly say Evocati’s values encompass what is important to me and it is rare to find that in a company. It has truly been a wonderful experience.
