Hops for Heroes Continues in a MAJOR Way over Fourth of July Weekend
Center of the Universe Brewing and Alamo Beer Company Unveil their Homefront IPA Brews to Drum-up Support for Veterans and Service Members
As we fully embrace Soldiers' Angels' Hops For Heroes season (Memorial Day to Veterans Day), it's time to look into some of the early success they and participating breweries had supporting our Troops over the Fourth of July weekend.
Center of the Universe Brewing Company
Located in Ashland, Virginia, Center of the Universe has been part of Hops for Heroes since its inception as Chris Ray began the campaign during his MLB career, and later co-founded the brewery. You can learn more about Center of the Universe here. Or click here to find out more about Hops for Heroes and its history.
On July 1st, Chris and Center of the Universe held their release party for the Homefront IPA, and two other brews to support Soldiers' Angels and other military-connected charities that support veterans and service members. Along with the great beer, Ashland residents were welcomed by a food truck and live music.
Alamo Beer Company
As one of the local San Antonio breweries participating in Hops For Heroes, Alamo knew they had to represent the city well—and they did. The brewery prides itself on being the only beer to feature the Alamo name since the start of Prohibition. Learn more about Alamo Beer Company here.
Alamo's release of their brew was jam-packed with bonus events. Including a DJ, Grunt Style swag, a pit bull rescue station, n auction featuring the maple bat used to brew their Homefront IPA, a special edition Hops for Heroes tap handle, and more. Doesn't this sound like the best time?!
